Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and friendly Retail Sales Associate to join the retail team at Major Bloom. In this role, you’ll provide knowledgeable guidance to customers on cannabis products, assist with daily operations, and help create a consistent, high-quality experience on the sales floor. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, is passionate about cannabis culture and wellness, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome every customer with professionalism, warmth, and a positive attitude
- Provide expert guidance and product knowledge for a variety of cannabis offerings
- Operate the POS system accurately for purchases, returns, and exchanges
- Upsell and cross-sell products based on customer needs and inventory flow
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and assist with daily restocking
- Perform inventory checks, shelf organization, and clean-up duties
- Handle cash and electronic transactions with attention to accuracy and compliance
- Assist with opening/closing procedures as needed
- Adhere to all cannabis compliance regulations and store protocols
- Participate in internal trainings, team meetings, and product demos
- Support and help onboard new team members when needed
- Communicate effectively with team leads and supervisors
Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail or customer-facing roles preferred
- Experience in cannabis retail is a plus, but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable learning and using digital tools (POS, inventory systems)
- Quick learner with a customer-first mindset and a team-oriented approach
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply
- Must be 21+ and able to pass CORI/background checks as required by the state
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
